Summary: We are looking for Technical Instructor IV/ Master’s Program in Nutrition Graduate Professor to provide accreditation oversite, site coordination and instruction for student experiential learning at the Graduate Level in the Army- Baylor Master’s Program of Nutrition at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, in support of the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE). This role is considered as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), which typically initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs. Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for mission critical challenges/issues; Consults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Responsible for reviewing and updating current curriculum, creating new curriculum as needed for the execution of assigned course and facilitation and evaluation of student experiential learning (SEL) Teach graduate level nutrition course(s), policy, and theory courses for up to 40 students. Respond to student questions and concerns via emails, face-to-face, and online curriculum database. Update course material assigned to teach to ensure information is timely and accurate. Offer up to 5 hours of office hours per week. Attend faculty and staff meetings bi-monthly. Submit end of course student grades to the affiliate university. Teach 1-2 classes per semester (not to exceed 9 credits total). Class semester credits differ and range from 1 credit to 4 credits. Each semester credit is equal to 15 classroom hours. (e.g, a 3- semester credit course has 45 classroom hours). Review and update current curriculum, create new curriculum as needed for the execution of assigned course and facilitation and evaluation of student experiential learning (SEL) experiencing related to assigned course Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Be able to read, write, and speak English. Possess excellent written and oral communication and presentation. Be capable of learning and utilizing current and emerging military and commercial. Be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and incorporated programs to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Access and be able to troubleshoot basic computer hardware and software required for services being provided under each individual task order. Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Nutrition Related field with 3 years of graduate level teaching experience OR a Master’s Degree in a Nutrition related field with 5 years of graduate level teaching experience and must be a Registered Dietitian. Background Checks: In accordance with HSPD-12, all DoD contractor employees must submit a National Agency Check plus Written Inquiries and Credit Check (NACI) background investigation (SF 85) to the MEDCoE Security Office (G2).
