Technical Interior/Architectural Designer
Job Title: Technical Interior/Architectural Designer

Note: Graphic design and UX/UI design experience is NOT applicable and will not be considered.


Job Description:Assists with various tasks during earlier phases on project as neededActs as primary contact for all outside parties once the construction phase beginsCoordinates with GC, Architect of Record, and/or Consultants (OAC calls, RFIs, etc.)Reviews design documentation during construction/documentation process to ensure alignment with design intent, construction standards, and any coordination requirements between internal teams and outside consultants (Architects, MEP, etc.)Able to defend design intent through familiarizing oneself with documented design drawings, design intent, 3D renderings, interior schedules, and physical finish samples as completed by the design teamReviews and coordinates with outside consultants' drawings (e.g., architect, drafting, millwork, and custom furniture)Will be aware of contractual scope (full scope vs. limited) and clarifies with the director the level of involvement expected for the project at the startCompletes initial review of submittals and RFIs while referencing available project documentsResponsible for issuing any ISKs, drawing issuances, etc. throughout the construction process, addressing coordination needs, in-field conditions, and requested informationCompletes site visits throughout the construction phase, documenting with photos in an organized mannerCompiles interior project punch lists and coordinates with the architect and other trades in collaboration with GCAssists with the delegation of tasks and coordinates with the team as needed to ensure project needs are met and align with the construction schedule and inform designers of open items or changes that may require alternate specificationsAbility to mentor technical team members with occasional site visits, sharing of in-field experience and construction knowledge, past project experienceAbility to maintain/organize pertinent data utilizing active project tracker in collaboration with the project team

Qualifications:Must have Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior DesignDegree must be accredited in the United StatesTechnical documentation experience at an architecture or interior design firmGraphic design and UX/UI design experience is NOT applicable5-7 years of post-graduate experience within US StandardPost-graduate experiend does NOT include internship experienceConstruction administration experienceMust have experience as a client.stakeholder liaison and ability communicate with GC and client on updates and able to speak on design intentMust have hospitality experienceHotels are good, but must have done amenity spaces + room, custom restaurants, not roll-out restaurant work)High-end, custom hospitality experience- i.e. not prototypical projectsMust be fully proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp (won't be rendering, but must be able to use as a reference)Bluebeam experience is a plusMust be immediately localAbout Actalent
