If you are a Technical Item Master Administrator looking for an opportunity to grow in the HVAC/R industry, Copeland Canada Inc has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Brantford, ON location, the Technical Item Master Administrator creates and maintains accurate and consistent multi-level Bills of Material (BOM) and Item Master records for Finished Goods to support order management, manufacturing, material requirements and cost. In addition to the responsibilities below, this position requires a highly motivated individual who flourishes when solving urgent and complex issues in a fast-paced multifaceted environment.

AS A TECHNICAL ITEM MASTER ADMINISTRATOR, YOU WILL BE:

Responsible for implementing and administering a system for effectively handling the flow of new item creations/changes for Copeland Canada.  Defining/controlling Copeland Canada’s Oracle Item Master at both the Master and Parent levels.  Create NEW items and/or assign existing organizational items with use of templates.  Define and/or Update; Item Catalog Categories, UOM, User Item Types, Long/Short descriptions.Construct NEW Bills of Material in Oracle for Copeland Canada assemble to order items and assign routing. Maintenance active Bills of Material per U.S. Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s).Phase out/obsolete Copeland Canada items within Oracle per Product Planning and/or per U.S. Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s).Provide product support for Operations (bill of material, assembly aides, etc.) for products packaged at Copeland Canada.Provide support to Product Planning and Marketing departments with the preparation of, co-coordinating product releases, obsolescence of products and marketing bulletins.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Excellent communication and customer service skills.Excellent technical writing skills and data analysis to prepare reports and respond to customer and interdepartmental inquiries.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including MS Word and Excel.Strives for continuous personal development and improvement. Ability to travel up to 10% Canada and US.Legal authorization to work within Canada – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:  

ORACLE certification / experience.BS in Mechanical Engineering or CET in HVAC/R Engineering.Bilingual (French)
