Technical Lead, ERP Systems
Position Summary:
The Technical Lead, ERP Systems, will oversee TireHub’s internal ERP (Epicor) platform, ensuring effective development, management, and application across the organization. This role is pivotal in driving process improvements across Sales, Operations, and Finance by leveraging ERP capabilities.
This role will report to the Sr. Leader Enterprise Applications.

Role Specifics:
Leads the execution of ERP technical operations to enhance business efficiency. Responsible for the technical and procedural direction of the Epicor development team. Improves processes by leveraging Epicor system functionality, with focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and data integrity. Plans and leads ERP software/hardware upgrades and executes an ERP roadmap with improved features, capabilities, and user adoption. Interfaces with internal users throughout discovery and scope definition processes, developing business case justifications for process improvement initiatives. Collaborates with team members in a TLC to understand daily operational challenges. Develops and manages ERP resource demand, project timelines, and on-time deliverables. Manages and resolves open cases with software support for the Epicor ERP platform. Oversees the internal Epicor training curriculum and schedule promoting education and training to maximize the platform’s potential across various business functions. Designs and implements End User Process training. Establishes and maintains written and in-person communications with executives, department heads, and end users regarding Epicor activities. Assists with ERP software integration and related projects as needed. Troubleshoots priority production issues and provides timely communication to management and customers. Manages resources for development and testing activities. Collaborates with third-party vendors, including the Epicor team, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, and exceeding SLA (Service Level Agreement). Manages contractors involved in ERP-related projects, ensuring performance aligns with project goals. Provides emergency support during critical business process interruptions, with availability outside standard business hours when necessary. Ensures individual personal adherence to TireHub policies, procedures, and guidelines.· Participates and maintains ongoing training requirements through in-class, in-person, or computer-based learning modules as assigned.
· Completes other tasks assigned by the Sr. Leader Enterprise Applications or another member of Senior Leadership, as requested.
Competencies:
Staff Management: Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and lead geographically dispersed IT teams of at least five members, both local and remote, fostering collaboration, achieving performance objectives, and driving team growth through strategic workforce planning and effective leadership. Network Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with computer networks, wired and wireless, network administration, and network infrastructure installation. Security: Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and the ability to implement security measures to protect warehouse IT infrastructure. Project Management: Ability to manage IT projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Technical Leadership: Proven experience in leading technical teams, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and external partners effectively.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, or related field is preferred. 10+ years progressive responsibility in a technical leadership role, including managing employees locally and/or internationally. Proven expertise in technical logistics solutions. Extensive hands-on experience in ERP support and operations.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Technical understanding of Epicor Profit 21 or similar ERP systems, including architecture, configuration, and integration. Familiarity with cloud-based ER solutions, SaaS models, or hybrid deployments. Knowledge of database management systems (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle) and ERP-related data analysis. Proficient critical thinking and problem-solving skills to optimize processes and manage resources. Effective communication and organizational skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to operate as both a player and coach in a fast-paced environment. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and identify technical solutions. Maintains a deep understanding of technology and industry trends related to tire distribution. Ability to solve complex challenges, identify patterns, and implement data-driven solutions using analytical and critical-thinking skills. High level of organization and attention to detail, ensuring thoroughness in tasks and projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). A valid Driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience required (3 years preferred; Does not include time on learner’s permits).Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of ERP modules across Sales, Operations, and Finance Awareness of trends in ERP technology and best practices for system implementation and optimization. Experience in integrating ERP systems with other enterprise applications (e.g., CRM, HRIS, or BI tools). Proficiency in languages and tools like C#, .NET, or Epicor's proprietary tools (e.g., BAQ, BPM).Working Conditions:
This is a fast-paced and dynamic operating environment. Most of the time is spent sitting, constantly viewing monitors in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move around. There may be occasions to move or lift light articles. Ability to travel up to 10%
This role is based in our headquarters office in Dunwoody, GA.
Must be able to work flexible hours during routinely critical times to support the department.
