Our Hillsboro Innovative Therapies (HIT) team is responsible for delivering a fast-evolving portfolio of new Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) products to bring new curative treatments to patients.
This position is part of our Materials Management organization and will be responsible for successful operations through the exercise of managerial leadership of the team and by effectively collaborating with site and network management.
As the Technical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and optimizing operations, ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient environment that meets organizational objectives and customer needs. Additionally, you will:
The Opportunity
You oversee daily activities within the Materials Management operations, which includes receiving, kitting, shipping, and manufacturing operations.
You represent the department on audits, issues, and initiatives as required.
You perform or provide oversight to department related project activity that may include investigating, analyzing, formulating possible solutions, documenting processes, training, and communicating results.
You lead and perform corrective / preventative actions for deviations and change control within the established Quality management system
You perform all work activities in a safe and compliant manner according to all Genentech policies, procedures and trainings
You receive, identify quarantine, store, handle, dispense, release, and issue raw materials, starting materials, intermediates, reagents, GMP supplies and packaging materials.
You create and revise standard operating (SOP) reverent to department processes and perform department related project activity that may include investigating, analyzing, formulating possible solutions, documenting processes, and communicating results
Using manual labor, pallet jacks, and forklifts, you move product and both GMP and non-GMP supplies to and from storage locations and delivery trucks.
Who You Are:
You have a Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Life or Physical sciences preferred.
You have 4-7 years of industry experience in Warehousing/Distribution, and a minimum of 3 years of progressively increasing leadership responsibility.
You have in-depth working knowledge of inventory management principles and distribution and cold-chain practices.
You have DOT, IATA, international shipment expertise.
You have outstanding communication and organizational skills.
You have exceptional people development skills.
You have extensive experience with integrated inventory management databases such as SAP.

You are local to Hillsboro Oregon. Relocation benefits are not available for this posting. This is an on-site position; remote work is not offered at this time.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Oregon is $80,500 (min) - $115,000 (mid) - $149,500 (max). Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
