**Position Purpose:**
Responsible for overseeing the managing, categorizing, planning, scheduling, and movement of incoming
hazardous waste materials within the facility for proper disposal and incineration in accordance with environmental
regulatory and Veolia standards and guidelines to include the following functions consisting of approvals, quality
control, qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis, and customer services to achieve optimal utilization and
capacity in the incineration process. Act in a liaison capacity as a consultant with thermal management personnel
at the various sites regarding incineration, development of backup contingency alternatives in the event of
emergencies and applies technical expertise on a variety of existing and/or potential issues revolving around site
capabilities.
**Primary Duties /Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and implement disposal schedules to include weekly and monthly forecasts with itemized loads of each product as well as unscheduled load lists.
+ Utilize site schedules to assist in determining adequate inventory situations for product types ranging from a two to three month planning period.
+ Establish approval of hazardous waste to off-site facilities and determine timing and redirection of overloaded shipments to meet customer needs.
+ Utilize site schedules to anticipate and provide meaningful revenue forecasts for management on a monthly basis.
+ As a member of the pricing committee, establishes market, sell, intra company transfer prices. Oversee all pricing exception requests for disposal from sales personnel to insure profit margins.
+ Develop routing cost of hazardous waste through the company's network and report actual site unit cost performance to insure profit feasibility.
+ Assist sales personnel in developing customer alliances in order to secure long-term business partnerships in the disposal of hazardous waste materials.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
**Education / Experience / Background:**
+ BS in Chemistry or related discipline required
+ 8 to 10 years in the hazardous waste industry or related work experience required
+ 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
+ Extensive knowledge in technical and environmental methodologies required
+ Previous proven work experience with analytical/problem-solving capability required
**Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:**
+ Extensive knowledge in the following areas: DOT, EPA, TSCA, and OSHA required.
+ Knowledge of site capabilities and limitations to ensure efficient and effective disbursement/ storage.
+ Strong team player
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
+ Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines
+ Strong customer orientation
+ Strong supervisory and leadership skills
**Required Certification / Licenses / Training:**
+ Valid driver's license
+ OSHA HAZWOPER Certification
