As a valued member of the Technical Marketing Engineering (TME) team within AMD’s Data Center GPU & Accelerated Processing Product Management organization, your role is pivotal in shaping and enhancing the entire customer journey—from the initial point of contact to development and mass production. You will be entrusted with the crucial task of ensuring that our customers can hit the ground running by providing clear and straightforward information about our products. This will involve delivering comprehensive technical collateral through engaging presentations and videos aimed at educating our partners and customers. Your expertise will bridge the gap between detailed documentation, ensuring users not only comprehend the content but also apply it effectively to optimize and deploy their AI workloads using AMD’s leading-edge GPU technology. RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and deliver compelling training workshops - transforming technical collateral into presentations, videos, and live demos that resonate with our partners and customers. Develop hands-on demonstrations that clearly illustrate the use and benefits of AMD’s data center GPU solutions in real-world AI applications or targeted vertical segments. Keep current with the latest advancements in AMD software and hardware, ensuring all training materials reflect up-to-date features and best practices. Solicit and incorporate expert feedback to fine-tune workshop content, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our customers and partners. Design and manage a comprehensive library of technical materials, including manuals, guidebooks, application notes, and READMEs, to support and educate our customers on AMD's data center GPU solutions. Develop a deep understanding of the pain points a developer may experience when using AMD GPUs and deliver documentation that speaks to this audience and removes barriers to deploying our AI accelerators Proactively gather and integrate feedback from technical experts to ensure documentation meets real-world application and customer requirements. Lead by example to improve the team's technical documentation capabilities, mentoring colleagues to achieve documentation excellence from initial development through to release. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Bring a wealth of experience to the table in running and optimizing AI workloads with GPU or AI accelerators at scale. Show off your programming prowess in Python & C/C++, adhering to the highest standards of software design practices. Demonstrate familiarity with documentation construction for software using tools like Read the Docs, MarkDown, and Jupyter Notebooks. Have a proven track record of writing both explanatory and procedural content tailored for technical audiences. Be well-versed with the suite of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other utilities pivotal in crafting and distributing customer documentation and training resources. Boast hands-on experience with GPUs, FPGAs, or other machine learning accelerators, including a solid understanding of HIP, CUDA, ROCm, or OpenCL. Possess a history of engagement with customers in high-tech sectors, particularly within hyperscale datacenter or high-performance computing (HPC) landscapes. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering required. MS or PhD a plus. LOCATION: Santa Clara, CA or remote. While this position allows for remote work, candidates located in Santa Clara, CA area are preferred for this role. Additionally, candidates based near AMD primary office locations of Austin, Vancouver, or Toronto will also be given priority. #LI-EV1 #LI-HYBRID At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
