Touro University Central IT is looking for an IT Operations Manager to manage resource allocations and verify resource availability is balanced to support technical operations and special initiatives. The IT Operations Manager will monitor the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring stable and efficient operations of the technical systems while support the technical teams and operational projects and initiatives not managed through the Project management office. This role requires a blend of technical project management skills and IT operations expertise to manage and deliver IT operational projects and IT outcomes effectively.
ResponsibilitiesOperations Management:
Oversee the IT operations, including network infrastructure, server management, and IT support services. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT systems and infrastructure.Risk Management:
Assist with the mitigation of IT risks, ensuring compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and maintain disaster recovery plan.Technical Project Management:
Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion, projects are delivered on time within the accepted business requirements:Develop project plans Conceiving and developing the execution of objectives for operational and special technical initiatives.Allocate resources Partner with Technical team leads: Service Delivery, Network, Databases, Infrastructure to assist with resource planning, service delivery and objective completion.Support technical teams by troubleshooting technology and process issues.Vendor coordination as it pertains to operational tasks associated vendors, third parties and external entities.Monitor project progress through the operational team modified-scrum board.Team Leadership:
Mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative and innovative team environment driven by the best practices of project management.Support the coordination of problem management as it relates to the University’s physical and virtual environment.Provide tactical recommendations as operations and service delivery gaps are discovered.Leverage data to drive decision making.As need, Support the weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) All other tasks as requested by supervisor. QualificationsEducation/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and relevant 4+years IT management experience, OR Equivalent Experience and Project management professional certification (PMP preferred).Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Problem solver and critical thinker. Experience with system migration to cloud and SaaS. Excellent verbal and writing skills. Project and time management skills.Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.Physical Demands
