The Technical Operations Scientist II (Blood Virus) is responsible for transferring a suite of Blood Virus (BV) assays from Development into Manufacturing and supporting them after launch by identifying and resolving complex technical issues during production, or qualifying enhancements to existing or modified product configurations. The BV team is enabling one of the biggest business priorities of Beckman Coulter’s global product portfolio.

This position is part of the Technical Operations Department located just outside Tulla in Lismeehan, O'Callaghan's Mills, Co. Clare and will be designated onsite. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Blood Virus (BV) Technical Operations Team and report to the BV Technical Operations Manager responsible for leading a team of scientists involved in the BV Manufacturing Design Transfer and Support. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: ​

Identify resolution to multiple complex technical problems, utilizing the scientific method as the foundation for problem solving.Participate on technology transfer teams, present and discuss technical and non-technical aspects of assignments with less experienced personnel, peers, or upper management levels.Perform comprehensive tests using advanced experimental design and analyze results using sophisticated statistical data analysis.

The essential requirements of the job include: ​

Bachelor's degree (Level 8) in a relevant field plus minimum 2 years relevant experience

Proven problem investigation and problem-solving skills

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Diagnostic Reagent manufacturing
