Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Technical PM in Irving, Texas. This role is within the Service industry and involves leading a data center relocation project. The Technical PM will be in charge of planning, coordinating with vendors, mitigating risks, tracking budgets, and developing a disaster recovery strategy for the relocation of a data center rack to a new facility.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the entire process of relocating a data center, from the initial planning stage to the final execution, including physically moving servers and devices to a new facility.
• Work closely with vendors and stakeholders to ensure the move is carried out efficiently and on time.
• Manage the project budget effectively, keeping costs aligned with expectations.
• Offer strategic advice on choosing the new data center location, considering factors such as infrastructure, connectivity, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure minimal disruption to business operations during the move.
• Enhance internet connectivity between the colocation facility and the corporate office to guarantee seamless data flow after relocation.
• Collaborate with the internal team to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
• Participate in creating a disaster recovery strategy for the new data center. Requirements • Extensive knowledge and experience in the Service industry is a must.
• Proven track record as a Technical Project Manager.
• Strong expertise in managing data center operations.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies and its application in project management.
• Experience in developing and implementing Disaster Recovery Plans.
• Ability to devise and execute Risk Mitigation Strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
