Technical Product Analyst (Remote)
Job Description

CHS operates 69 acute-care hospitals and more than 1,000 other sites of care, including physician practices, urgent care centers, freestanding emergency departments, occupational medicine clinics, imaging centers, cancer centers and ambulatory surgery centers.

 

Summary:

The Technical Product Analyst is a crucial bridge between technical teams and healthcare stakeholders at Community Health Systems (CHS). The Technical Product Analyst will leverage data analysis and technical expertise to understand business needs, define product requirements, and ensure successful delivery of data-driven solutions impacting patient care, operational efficiency, or business initiatives. This individual will work closely with engineers, data scientists, clinicians, and other business users to translate complex healthcare challenges into actionable technical specifications. This position requires a strong background in healthcare data analysis, strong foundational knowledge of IT systems, excellent communication, and robust project management skills.

 

This position will be remote but will likely require travel to the corporate office a few times a year.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis:Conduct thorough needs assessments, gathering requirements from various stakeholders (clinicians, administrators, data team).Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and technical specifications.Analyze existing data sources and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.Create and maintain product backlog items, prioritizing tasks based on business value and technical feasibility.Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure solutions are technically sound and meet requirements.Product Development & Management:Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance.Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely and effective execution of projects.Track progress against project milestones and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications.Stakeholder Management:Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders at all levels.Manage stakeholder expectations and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and solicit feedback.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferredRequired Experience:3+ years of experience as a product analyst or in a similar role within a data-driven environment, preferably in healthcare.2+ years’ of development experience with SQL2+ years’ experience project documentation using JIRA or SmartSheetsProven experience in gathering and documenting requirements, translating them into technical specifications.Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).Preferred License/Registration/Certification: Google Cloud Professional Certifications, Certified Business Analysis (CBAP), PMP (Project Management Professional)
