Technical Product Owner

Equifax is seeking a technical product owner who is a master at bridging the desires of the customer and the capabilities of the technology, removing barriers to software development. You will be responsible for grooming the product backlog and have insight into technical requirements of individual stories thus creating a more efficient user experience.

The technical product owner will work a hybrid schedule out of our Lackland office in St Louis.

This role is currently not sponsorship eligible (we will not be able to consider applicants that require sponsorship currently or in the future.)

What you will do

You will serve as the conduit between user needs, technical capabilities, and engineering requirements, developing these into roadmaps and requirements for the Agile backlog of a development teamYou will lead the backlog refinement of features and user stories and ensure delivery teams are prepared to meet sprint deadlinesYou will work with others on a day-to-day basis to help make decisions on what is in scope and provide input into functional decisionsYou will have daily interaction with the teams building the productsYou will focus on product level impediments and process changes to enable faster and higher quality softwareYou make tough decisions on trade-offs between features, quality and dates in order to provide the best solution for our clientsYou ensure Product leadership is aware of key issues and changes, and provide them with the right information and recommendations to resolve issuesYou work with Product Managers to ensure the features in a release represent what is needed and that return on investment is in line with their expectationsYou have in-depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the initiatives and featuresYou will drive value as a function of cost, time, functionality and qualityYou will work with Architect(s) and Tech Lead(s) to identify non-functional requirements like infrastructure needsYou will work with Quality Assurance team member(s) to identify test cases for automated testingYou will coordinate with business customers to conduct product integration testing Key Responsibilities Preparation and Participation in PI Planning Program Backlog


What experience you need

BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent job experience required2+ years’ in experience managing product backlogs and requirements for Agile delivery teams in a Product Owner capacity2+ experience delivering products using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
