Position Overview: Technical Product Owner (Business Analyst)

This position serves as a Technical Product Owner (TPO) and Business Analyst, focusing on the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to create innovative business solutions for Clinical Decision Support within the healthcare industry.

The Technical Product Owner will:

Guide newly formed development teams and contribute to establishing enterprise standards for web service platforms and laboratory systems.

Facilitate brainstorming, design, and development sessions involving clinicians, medical experts, laboratorians, customers, developers, and QA engineers.

Drive cutting-edge technologies and help design clinical workflows that revolutionize healthcare globally.

Collaborate with SCRUM teams, Product Managers, and Business Relationship Managers to prioritize tasks, structure Agile development processes, and ensure functional completeness across all technology layers.

Contribute to solutions for expert rules systems, AI implementations, and innovative clinical decision support delivery.

Most importantly, you will engage in meaningful work supporting Labcorp’s mission to help people live longer and healthier lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead one or more SCRUM teams, ensuring alignment with Agile principles and best practices.

Facilitate meetings and negotiations across all SDLC phases.

Coordinate release and solution management with Project Managers.

Communicate progress, risks, and mitigations to the team and leadership.

Oversee Agile ceremonies and maintain Agile artifacts.

Engage in product design and technical requirements analysis.

Oversee product documentation and validate functional completeness of deliverables.

Advocate for Agile development practices and foster collaboration with stakeholders.

Conduct complex impact analyses and drive innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical/healthcare-related experience.

Experience:

5+ years as a Business Analyst supporting IT product or project development teams.

3+ years as a SCRUM Master or equivalent Agile role (SAFE certification preferred).

Proven expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and SDLC models.

Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, AWS DevOps, or equivalent SCRUM management platforms.

Skills:

Strong facilitation, communication, negotiation, and coaching abilities.

Passion for learning and implementing new enterprise software solutions.

Demonstrated ability to manage meetings at multiple organizational levels and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
