Job Description This role aligns more with Program Management but will include some Project Management responsibilities. You will not be responsible for running daily stand ups/acting as scrum master. You will be coordinating across 4-7 agile teams within this organization. Theses teams support the backend teams; APIs, databases, connecting with streaming partners. Must be able to grasp technical terms and systems, ask a lot of questions, keep the squads on track, communicate and share status updates with other teams. This person will be accountable for delivery dates and driving work. We are seeking a Technical Program Manager and Scrum Lead to join our team who will drive exceptional delivery on projects and programs on Core Content Management System Technologies. This candidate is skilled at the art of bringing a diverse set of team members and stakeholders together to determine scope, plan out the work needed and keep everyone marching to the beat of the same drum. This person has a proven track record of successfully collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to establish a strategy and deliver complex technical projects and programs at a platform level powering a broad portfolio of consumer-facing digital products. The right person for this role will be a balance of ambassador, detective and motivator with the ability to work with business and technical teams to organize and plan the work involved, monitor and communicate progress and pro-actively manage risks, issues and dependencies. Organizing and planning comes instinctively. This person is working in partnership with Product and Engineering to clear obstacles, drive progress and make sure everyone is clearly informed on status and the critical path. This person is a strong communicator, comfortable interacting with engineering teams as well as executive leadership. This candidate enjoys digging into the technical details and knows how to build strong relationships while holding teams accountable for delivery. They lead programs with vision, plan with foresight and execute with precision, handling the inevitable changes of a program lifecycle with patience and positivity. This position is offering a pay rate range between $85 - $92/hr. Skills and Requirements - 5+ years of progressively complex program/project management experience in a technical setting - 2+ years of hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies developing software applications and playing the role of Scrum Lead effectively - 2+ years of experience with Content Management Systems, processes and tools used for editing and curating stories and content for news and/or entertainment digital properties - Strong Experience with Jira/confluence - Experience with Smartsheeta or Airtable (Airtable is newer and a big plus) - Experience coming from digital/entertainment/media space - Experience supporting backend systems / a CMS system - Experience executing both Agile and Waterfall software Development methodologies - Technical/engineering/architecture background - Experience in digital consumer products and platforms - Demonstrated understanding of multiple software development life cycle models including Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban methodologies - Expertise with program management, analysis and reporting tools including Jira/Confluence and Smartsheet - Strong communication and negotiation skills, written and verbal, across all levels of internal and external stakeholders - Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or programs - PMI Certification with thorough understanding of Project Management Methodologies & Techniques - CSM / CSP Certification with thorough understanding of Scrum Agile Methodologies null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
