Alexa Availability is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive its Operational Readiness Review program and Availability program for highly critical Alexa services. The TPM will contribute in maintaining and improving Alexa's availability which in turn improves the Alexa customer experience.

Key job responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for continuously improving our established operational readiness review and availability program.

The right candidate will enjoy finding solutions to hard problems, possess a strong technical program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading large programs with a well-rounded technical background in software development and cloud infrastructure. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. As a TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

The Alexa Availability team is the proactive and reactive availability system builder team serving the many services that power the Alexa experience. We build systems that detect, mitigate, and prevent issues from occurring while reducing friction for teams to build new features in Alexa.
