Technical Program Manager
Job Title: Technical Program Manager Job Description As a Technical Program Manager for the Manufacturing Engineering team at Project Kuiper, you will lead a matrix organization of manufacturing engineers tasked with building, testing, qualifying, and producing next-generation spacecraft. You will employ innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology to tackle complex manufacturing and engineering challenges daily, both at a system and specialized level. Serving as a pivotal link between the production, development, tooling, supply chain, and quality teams, you will coordinate and drive the efforts of a multidisciplinary team of 20 engineers through exceptional planning and administrative skills. Responsibilities + Lead a matrix organization of manufacturing engineers in building, testing, qualifying, and producing next-generation spacecraft. + Utilize innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology to solve complex manufacturing and engineering problems. + Coordinate and drive the efforts of multidisciplinary engineers. + Serve as a critical link between production, development, tooling, supply chain, and quality teams. + Manage engineering deliverable schedules and ensure actions are understood, structured, and followed up on. Essential Skills + Familiarity with Low Rate Manufacturing Environments and New Product Introduction (NPI). + Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices and principles. + Experience with project management; PMP certification preferred. + Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP software. + Experience with Atlassian and Microsoft project management software (JIRA, MSProject). + Experience with Aerospace Manufacturing. + Experience with Statistical Analysis Software such as Minitab. + Engineering degree required. + Project management experience for 3+ years. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience leading multidisciplinary teams. + Business degree with experience working in engineering, preferably in aerospace or optics. + Ability to collaborate on project definition documents. + Familiarity with project management principles and practices. Work Environment The role offers a hybrid working environment, with the possibility to work offsite two days per week. The core business hours are Monday through Friday. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $69.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
