BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Technical Program Manager in Austin, TX.

Position Title: Technical Program Manager

Location: Austin, TX

Anticipated Start Date: 17th-March-2025

Expected Duration: 6+ months contract to permanent

Job Type: [FULL TIME (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY), [CONTRACT], [Onsite]

Pay Range: $50.00/hr - $54.00/hr

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

Scoping and defining the technical design, driving execution, and delivery of a software feature, solution, or product. Serving as the bridge between cross-functional teams including Business, Engineering, IT, and other cross-functional teams. Refining requirements and distributing work into logical, customer-valued deliverables. Defining the overall approach and architecture. Being accountable for defining the overall quality plan for the feature, solution, or product. Ensuring on-time delivery and escalating issues as necessary.


Responsibilities:

Supporting the planning and execution of multiple projects or programs in support of the organization's software products. Performing program analysis, managing risk, identifying and influencing necessary course corrections. Communicating program status and activities across multiple levels of management. Continuously assessing and improving the processes that comprise the software development lifecycle. Managing risks and resolving issues that affect release, scope, schedule, and quality. Defining and tracking key metrics and performance indicators. Driving cross-functional execution of program deliverables.


Knowledge & Skills:

Experience in leading enterprise level projects using agile development practices. Expertise in managing cross-organizational software development projects from initiation through delivery. Hands-on experience with developing and reporting on metrics for engineering development. Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems. Experience with a controlled software release process involving a product lifecycle management tool.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant area or demonstrated competence. Typically 6-8 years of relevant experience.
