With a variety of products and services that support this mission, Ring’s program management team is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our team in Malvern, PA, focusing on helping to build a Program Management Office (PMO) as well as deliver home security and smart home technology.
The Technical Program Manager will work closely with program management stakeholders to help build and support processes to strategically accelerate program quality and delivery of software and services at Ring, Blink, Key, and Sidewalk (RBKS). You will help build the foundations of a new Program Management Office (PMO), which includes the Product Development Process (PDP), program governance and prioritization, resource management, and building a knowledge repository.
Additionally, you will help drive the delivery of new features, launch new products and services, and enhance existing products in line with our product roadmap for the Ring home security and smart home technology.
We are looking for someone who is a strong communicator, is highly organized and a proven collaborator across engineering, product, go to market, and release management. A successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, embrace ambiguity, be a masterful mediator, and drive end-to-end product development.
Key job responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and champion a unified RBKS PMO through centralized resource and portfolio management, harmonized development processes, unified status communication, and shared best practices
- Build mechanisms to enable continuous improvement within the PMO including broadly measuring program quality and delivery cadence
- Report to program, product and engineering management on status towards timelines and deliverables
- Creates feature rollout plans, communicates to internal and external release management teams, and gets stakeholder buy-in
- Manage internal and external cross team dependencies, making sure that all teams are ready to deliver and align accordingly
- Drive and motivate the cross-functional teams to deliver on development commitments
A day in the life
Your day will involve working with program management leaders to build, improve, and perform operational tasks to help run the Program Management Office (PMO) at Ring. It will mean diving deep to research and measure what has been done, develop instrumentation and processes to improve current and future deliverables, and help empower other program managers to be more effective. You will also have an opportunity to help manage delivery of Ring Alarm software features, working work with Product and Engineering leadership, TPMs, and QAs across the Ring Alarm group to roll out software with quality and efficiency.
