Technical Program Manager - Release Management
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager - Release Management to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases across multiple teams. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills to ensure timely, high-quality releases that meet business requirements. Responsibilities + Develop and execute software release management plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, QA, DevOps, and Product Management, to plan, coordinate, and execute releases. + Define and track key release metrics, such as release frequency, lead time, and deployment success rates. + Identify and mitigate risks that could impact release quality, scope, or timeline. + Develop and maintain release management processes, procedures, and documentation. + Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. + Communicate release plans, status, and progress to stakeholders, including technical teams, product management, and executive leadership. + Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to adopt best practices and innovative solutions. Education & Experience Recommended + Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related discipline. + Typically has 10+ years of work experience in software release management, technical program management, or a related field. Preferred Certifications + Certified Scrum Master (CSM) + Certified Release Manager (CRM) + ITIL Foundation Certification Knowledge & Skills + Software release management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) + Release planning and coordination + Risk management and mitigation + Communication and stakeholder management + Process improvement and documentation + Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, ADO) + Version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) + Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Cross-Org Skills + Effective Communication + Results Orientation + Learning Agility + Digital Fluency + Customer Centricity Impact & Scope + Impacts multiple teams and stakeholders across the organization. + Leads and provides expertise to functional teams and participates in cross-functional initiatives. The base pay range for this role is $146,650.00 to $225,850.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).
