The Siemens DI Sales organization ideally focuses on providing solutions tailored to the specific needs of companies operating across a multitude of discrete, process, and hybrid industries. The CTO Customer Collaboration organization plays a crucial role in understanding needs of forward-thinking customers, positioning Siemens as a technology leader to drive digital transformation today and tomorrow for and with our customers, aligning the value of innovative and evolving Siemens solutions with customer pain points, and deploying a combination of existing, evolving and exploring product portfolio elements (HW, SW, Services) as functional solutions at customer sites, continuously learning and constantly improving.
As we embark on an ambitious journey of digital transformation, we are seeking a dynamic Technical Project Manager to spearhead our Digital Transformation Pioneering & Deployment team. This pivotal role is at the heart of our mission to redefine our Industrial Operations X Innovation Portfolio and develop and deploy novel Enterprise Solution Architectures with innovation customers and partners, driving innovation through digital excellence and collaboration.
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager. This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the continental United States.
You’ll make an impact by:
Steer technical incubation and deployment projects of Siemens Industrial Operations X offerings, involving and subcontracting internal and external partners, fostering excellence in project offering & execution. Proof applicability of our offerings and work closely with sales to define repeatability, scalability and prioritization. Decompose customer requirements to functional solution architectures of existing and emerging software & Manage stakeholder expectations throughout technical implementation and incubation process, resolve ambiguity, scope creep, workarounds, demands and technical challenges. Manage and own customer co-innovation by establishing a trusted advisor relationship from both a business and technical perspective with strategic partners/customers. Develop and deliver presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, proposals, and conduct business, technology, and status reviews. Thought leadership in identifying, developing, shaping, and refining transformative ideas with customers. Amplify the voice of the customer with the product organizations.You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical. electrical engineering, computer science or IT with focus on fields relevant to DI e.g. automation, simulation, AI/ML. 10+ years of experience in manufacturing processes and production operations in a variety of manufacturing industries including Electronics, Semiconductor, Food & Beverage, Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Battery, Pharmaceuticals, involving machine builders and end users. 10+ years of Systems & Application Engineering, technical consulting, assessment, and customer co-innovation experience incl. proof of concepts, defining requirements and scope, as well as hands-on deployment projects. 5+ years of functional leadership at the intersection of Sales and R&D with focus on delivering novel solutions to customers. Comprehensive knowledge in complex solutions and experience in Digital Enterprise solutions involving multiple solutions & technologies such as ECAD, MCAD, requirements, product data management, Manufacturing engineering, simulation, production execution, and data integrations. Experience with MES and PLM (Siemens Opcenter and Teamcenter), as well as ERP software solutions and the role these solutions play in Siemens horizontal offerings that combine hardware and software / cross- Business Unit offerings, such as Virtual Commissioning Willingness to travel 25% (domestic/international). Must currently reside in the continental USA. MBA is a plus. A working understanding on new portfolio elements such as Software Defined Control, Asset & Data Management, Industrial AI and Edge portfolio. Extensive network within Siemens Digital Industries across Business Units, product groups, functions & hierarchies Highly motivated and driven business professional with a can-do attitude Applied knowledge of Digital Threads, experience with Siemens tooling for customer requirement collection and solution mapping (Dolphin, Solutionlink, SieSales). Proven ability to cultivate team culture, motivate and influence stakeholders across the organization without direct reporting structure – using creative leadership techniques. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
