Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead technology implementation projects and ensure their successful execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, overseeing technical solutions, and maintaining project timelines and budgets. This role requires expertise in risk management, stakeholder communication, and compliance with technical standards.
Project Planning: Develop and execute detailed project plans for technology implementations, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Define and manage project scope and objectives with input from stakeholdersProject Team/Vendor Management: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including software developers, RF engineers, and systems engineers. Manage work completed by vendors and sub-contractors, ensuring collaboration and effective communicationTechnical Oversight: Provide expert technical leadership and guidance on projects, ensuring technical solutions align with requirements and compliance standardsSchedule Management: Create and maintain detailed project schedules using project management tools. Track progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely completion of all project phasesRisk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks specific to projects, addressing challenges proactively to minimize impactStakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, progress, and any changes in scope or schedule. Ensure stakeholder requirements are understood and managedQuality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet high-quality standards and adhere to best practicesBudget Management: Develop and oversee project budgets, monitoring expenditures to ensure projects are completed within financial constraintsDocumentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and compliance recordsRequirements
7+ years of experience, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferredProject Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and oversee complex projects. Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or SalesforceTechnical Skills: In-depth understanding of technical concepts and communications technologies. Experience with software development and systems integration is a plusCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersProblem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing competing demands and handling multiple prioritiesExperience working with DHS, Federal, State, and Local Law EnforcementProven ability to work autonomously and as part of a teamExperience writing proposals, white papers, and SBIR responsesDemonstrated ability to meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skillsExperience working in a design and development environmentPreferred Requirements
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferredPMP certification preferred but not requiredExperience with RF Communications and US DoD Acquisition processes is a plusEducation/Certification Requirements
