Technical Project Manager

Provide technical oversight and support in the design, estimate, development, documentation, and implementation of one or more projects/solutions that satisfy the business requirements of aligned application development requests within the allocated time and budget. Provide ownership, technical subject matter support and administration for one or more projects.

This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Organize and manage one or more projects which includes management of day-to-day activities, project team scope, regular status meetings, resource requests, assignment of individual responsibilities, review the status reports, address issues, creation, and execution of project work plans, tracking team hours, management of project budget, application of McLane’s methodology and enforcement of project standards, review of deliverables and completion / storage of project documents.Manage day-to-day client interactions which include expectation setting, relationship management, effective communications, and evaluation of alternative solutions, seeking opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, and building a knowledge base of each client's business, organization, and objectives.Understand and communicate all processes within a single business area.Define and maintain project scope, write detailed specification for multiple applications within at least one business area.Manage assignments independently within at least one business area and/or environment.Define the source and solution to problems quickly and independently within a single environment or business area. Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.Consult with users to ensure McLane methodology is followed, requirements and design deliverables match the design specifications, test plans fit the requirements and test results correspond to test plans.Develop and test solutions, validate system-testing process and the user acceptance testing process using theMcLane development tools and meet the McLane standards.Create implementation documentation; coordinate the implementation and post-implementation activities.Maintain accurate information in the project tracking system; provide timely and accurate reporting.Support aligned applications by working with other project managers to create a cohesive system level project view.Provide detailed estimates and developer specifications. Provides technical direction for systems from definition phase through implementation.Provide development support as required to include programming.Provide feedback to project stakeholders and communicate technical aspects of system’s requirements. Understand McLane’s capabilities in the areas of application programming, database, and system design.Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies. Seek and participate in development opportunities to continuously learn new tool and environments acquiring new skills to enhance job performance. Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.Prepare for quality assurance procedures and manage the change process.Minimize McLane’s exposure and risk on project.Influence by challenging team members to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor, identifying opportunities for improvement, making constructive suggestions, acknowledging contributions.Think globally and cross-functionally to identify project dependencies and their impact, raise the dependency issues with the project sponsor and co-create solutions.Train other teammates and clients through both formal and informal training programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, related experience.Have 4-5 years of broad-based experience in specific and related disciplines of the business.Prefer 3 years of professional experience in area of IT project management and/or web applications development.Strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.Proficiency with multiple development tools and multiple environments.Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, preferred.Experience in Agile project management, preferred.
