CGI is seeking a creative and innovative skilled Technical Project Manager to oversee cloud-native projects with a focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, particularly in Cloud Architecture and Deployment, alongside proven project management experience. You will be responsible for planning, executing, writing user stories in Jira and delivering complex cloud projects on time and within scope.

This position can be performed in a hybrid model from Boston, MA.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Responsible for motivating and directing a team of software engineers and testers in a manner that ensures the customer meets their objectives in a profitable manner for CGI. Below are the areas in which the member is expected to have expertise in

Project Planning & Execution:
Primarily responsible for Scrum Master/PM work and Jira Stories creation, backlog grooming and prioritization in consultation with Client’s point to contact.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocations, and deliverables.
Coordinate and manage AWS cloud-native project lifecycles, from initiation to closure.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
Support with Requirements definition

Stakeholder Management:
Partner with Client Technical PM, engage with stakeholders to define project requirements and scope.
Provide regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Clearly escalate any blockers from Client or CGI team

Team Collaboration:
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including DevOps engineers, SW Engineers, Product Owners and architects.
Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Promote best practices in AWS cloud-native services and agile methodologies.

Technical Expertise:
Act as the technical liaison between business units and development teams.
Provide guidance and expertise in cloud-native architecture, particularly AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
Collaborate with teams on the design and deployment of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native applications.

Budget & Resource Management:
Manage project budgets and forecasts.
Allocate resources efficiently to ensure project delivery within the agreed timeline and budget.

Compliance & Governance:
Ensure projects comply with company policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements (Clients and CGI’s).
Maintain security best practices in cloud environments, including data protection and access management.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

At least minimum 5+ years of experience in Project Management, with at least 2 years in AWS cloud-native projects.
Proven track record of delivering complex Technical Projects in Cloud Environments.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc.).
Strong knowledge of AWS architecture and cloud-native solutions.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, etc.).
Familiarity with microservices architecture, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless technologies.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $94,400 -$185,800.
