Technical Project Manager

 

  

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing and finalizing solutions related to new and existing products, modules and services. The Technical Project Manager sets milestones for each project, coordinates efforts between operations and technology teams, in order to effectively and efficiently deliver projects according to plan. This position works with internal and external stakeholders to bring structure while implementing complex, project-based processes to bring increased efficiency in the delivery of all projects and services and in turn, enhanced client satisfaction.

 

The Technical Project Manager is also a technical resource for the field sales force.  They must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.  He/She must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.  

 

Your Tasks

 

Create and manage the plan for moving technical solutions to final client hand-off.   Assemble and coordinate the internal and external teams to gain consensus on deliverables from each team. Collaboratively adapt existing and develop new project plans, processes and communication standards for the operations teams Development of realistic plans, goals, and aligning plans with company goals, managing resources and creating contingency plans. Preparing technical functional specification, production support, and user documentation. Writing, qualifying and quantifying requirements in a software development or technical environment. Preparing and publishing meeting documentation. Preparing use cases for web-based solutions. QA testing of software applications. Representing our solutions to customers and at conferences, seminars, etc. Development and delivery of product demonstrations. Responding to the functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs. Partner with internal and external Subject Matter Experts to build detailed requirements and provide end-to-end project management oversight during project life cycle. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans. Identifies process areas for improvement in collaboration with IT and business operations team. Uses fact base data analysis for sizing opportunity and recommends prioritization based on ROI. Improves business processes through process reengineering and automation as appropriate. Understands internal business and systems workflow to leverage existing capability for meeting business expectations. Participates in the planning, design, development and deployment of new application modules and enhancements to existing applications.

 

Your Profile

 

3-5 years’ experience working in as a technical project manager or business analyst, systems analyst, and/or data analyst. B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred or PMP Certified. Proven experience with Internet development using Microsoft technology (ASP.NET, SQL Server, etc). Proven ability to use SQL queries to analyze and update data. Proven ability/experience to working with database objects and relationships Thorough knowledge of Internet infrastructure. Experience and familiarity with healthcare products and line of business a plus. Experience and/or familiarity with printing business and/or technology solutions. Experience in full lifecycle development, test and operational deployment environments. Superior oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact with management, technical staff and users/customers. Travel: up to 25% of the time. Office: Valencia, CA or Dulles, VA
