The Project Manager works with the product team to manage all aspects of value delivery for a product. They organize and lead the team using best practice project management tools and techniques. They are an active member of the project management community, continuously learning and honing their craft to help their product team deliver consistent value with agility. This role requires two years of project management experience and includes managing vendor contracts and relationships for the product area
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Cover and support 2-4 software development project teams focused on helping the teams perform at their highest levels
+ Lead projects, develop plans and timelines, and monitor progress.
+ Facilitate meetings, follow up on actions, and direct and coordinate activities.
+ Regularly communicate expectations, next steps, achievements, and issues.
+ Maintain an understanding of professional best practices for Agile Project Management.
+ Apply appropriate best practices in the management of projects.
+ Leverage the broader company network for removing impediments.
+ Engage stakeholders in projects with clear RACI delegation defined in the project charter.
+ Collaborate with Scrum Masters to monitor agile metrics for product delivery.
+ Liaise between development teams and product management.
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure release readiness.
+ Assist in coordinating and facilitating user-feedback sessions throughout the development lifecycle.
+ Keep the wider company network informed of the team’s activities.
+ Identify and communicate risks to targeted delivery dates.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert in work item and project tracking software.
+ Support a DevOps product or product line as the project manager and then there is another line we added farther down
+ Facilitate DevOps pipelines and code management/release strategies across the development portfolio
Education and Experience
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Software Development, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute for a degree.
+ Two (2)+ years of project management experience.
+ Six (6)+ years of overall work experience.
+ Project Management certification preferred
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
+ Strong understanding of DevOps concepts and hands-on experience with software deployment
+ Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
+ Working knowledge software development project management, or IT Services (Cyber-security, software implementation), or healthcare IT services (software or application implementation, robotics implementation, interface development/implementation) with a desire to gain project management experience
+ Understanding of the software development life cycle, preferably agile lifecycle management
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
+ Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – at all levels within the organization
+ Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
+ Experience in a matrixed resource environment
+ Knowledge of healthcare IT extremely helpful
Work Environment/Physical Demands
+ While at work, this position is primarily a sedentary job and requires that the associate can work in an environment where they will consistently be seated for the majority of the workday
+ This role requires that one can sit and regularly type on a keyboard the majority of their workday
+ This position requires the ability to observe a computer screen for long periods of time to observe their own and others’ work, as well as in-coming and out-going communications via the computer and/ or mobile devices
+ The role necessitates the ability to listen and speak clearly to customers and other associates
