Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and a proven track record of leading large, dispersed teams. The role involves managing projects through the full Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC), from infancy to production launch and into maintenance.
ResponsibilitiesCreate project schedules by identifying critical paths, task ownership, and resource conflicts.Analyze project plans and collaborate with teams to expedite or parallel path activities to speed time to delivery.Identify and communicate key issues or risks and develop contingency plans to address them.Provide status updates to key stakeholders, both internal and external.Track metrics data against KPIs and report status.Adhere to project management and quality management standards, including software, hardware, and product development processes.Plan and assign tasks based on evaluation of capability within the project team.Present at meetings with internal and external managers.Work with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to influence product design for assembly and manufacturability.Perform PFMEAs with cross-functional teams.Plan for future capacity and design assembly lines for new products.Present process design reviews to leadership.Collect and analyze data using SPC and utilize design for six sigma methodologies.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager.Leadership abilities with experience managing large, dispersed teams with diverse skillsets.Experience with the full PDLC, managing projects from infancy to production launch and into maintenance.Proficiency in common project management tasks including schedule creation/tracking (Gantt charts), budget tracking, and risk management.Ability to present at meetings with internal and external managers.Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to professionally communicate with both internal and external management and technical teams.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with software product-based cybersecurity concepts.PMP certification.Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Windsor, CO, requiring 2-3 days per week onsite.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
