Job Description As the Sr. Technical Project Manager your primary focus will be the Core Mobile team supporting the ESPN Mobile App (Android & IOS). You will be part of the larger ESPN Digital group which encompasses ESPN.com, the ESPN mobile app, fantasy products, tournament challenges app and all applications for connected TV devices. Your main responsibility/function will be acting as the Scrum leader for the core mobile team. Must be able to run ceremonies, backlogs, refinement etc. The mobile team operates as one team with 34 engineers but the daily stands up and grooming sessions are separated by IOS and Android function. You will be responsible for running the daily stand ups, leading the charge, sprint planning and retrospectives and removing impediments. They use Airtable for road mapping and reporting and Jira as the execution tool they do all the work in. This role is based in the Los Angeles area (ideally going into Glendale office) offering an hourly pay rate range of $80.00 - $85/hr. Skills and Requirements - Sports Fan coming from media/entertainment/digital/streaming technology industry - 6+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager in an enterprise level environment supporting backend/technical teams and working with engineers - Experience using Jira and Confluence - Experience driving/overseeing Mobile Application projects - Experience working as part of a larger PMO to deliver complex solutions, working through an agile process to call out issues, remove impediments, and manage risk. - At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager/Scrum Master leading individual Agile teams working directly with engineers - Technical experience- must have worked as PM in the technical spaces such as websites/APIs/ Mobile Apps for example. - leading multiple teams and multiple projects and large programs within multiple tracks of work - Experience managing expectations, negotiating compromises, and interfacing between a technical team and business partners. - Develops and manages project plans comprised of complex activities and dependencies. - Communicates status, updates and project summaries via presentations, e-mail and direct communication with key stakeholders and leadership. - Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification required.
