Technical Project Manager Medium Voltage

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager Medium Voltage to reinforce our Electrification & Automation team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Your scope will be mainly projects in Belgium with occasional projects for African countries.  

The Electrification & Automation business unit accompanies the customers in their electrification’s journey from revamping project to optimization of electricity usage through advanced automation systems. We support customers/society who are using electrification as lever for decarbonization. Our projects cover electrical networks of public distribution/transmission system operators (DSO/TSO), as well as industrial and power plants or data centers in the private sector.

As a Project Manager Medium Voltage, you will independently handle the technical aspect of orders (medium voltage boards). You are both in contact with our factories for passing on the relevant technical information and technical follow-up of orders; and with customers for technical clarification of orders.

Furthermore, you will build technical competence to provide technical support to the project leaders for larger projects using the same type of material.

The experience you build up in the execution of projects will allow you to support the sales people in analyzing specifications and preparing offers. You will also provide technical support to customers (questions about our portfolio, quality or service issues).

You will be supported for these activities by the product manager and, if necessary, by our service department. You participate in a close-knit team of sales and project engineers and administrative colleagues.

What will your day look like?

Analyzing the technical specifications of the project. Verifying the solution.Technical clarification of the project with the customer through client meetings.Launching and managing the engineering.Configuring the boards in a specific configuration tool.Placing the order to our Siemens Manufacture team. Following-up of the production processes. Managing the planning of the different stakeholders. Managing/communicating with the customer. Managing project resources, including technicians and subcontractors. Participating to the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) in Belgium, Germany or Turkey. Organizing the deliveries and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) Following the financial and quality KPI’s of the project. Ensuring project safety and enforce safety culture on projects. Providing regular project updates to clients and internal teams.

What qualifications are required for this position?

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in medium voltage systems. Strong knowledge of medium voltage power distribution systems, equipment and relevant regulations (e.g. Synergrid).Familiarity with technical standards and regulations related to medium voltage systems. You are organized. You can plan and follow up processes and projects in a structured way. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You are able to optimize solutions technically but also economically.You are familiar with IT (MS-Office,...). You are fluent in French, Dutch, and English (customers all over Belgium + international contacts with our factories in Germany). Knowledge of German is a plus.
