Technical Recruiter

 

Partners with assigned business units to provide full life-cycle staffing support, including sourcing quality candidates, conducting pre-employment interviews, evaluating candidates, and assisting in closing offer acceptance. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Consults with hiring managers to understand their long and short term staffing needs and to understand the scope of the position(s) needed to be filled.  Gathers candidate qualifications, such as job knowledge requirements and technical skills. Creates/updates job postings based on conversations with the hiring manager. Identifies, evaluates selects appropriate recruiting sources, i.e.; newspaper, Internet, job fairs, and posts jobs.  Retains services of third party recruiters, as required, negotiates fees and terms, and communicates search details.  Pro-actively searches for candidates (e.g., Linked-In). Screens applications and resumes.  Conducts initial pre-screen interview, by phone or in person, and evaluates the candidate’s capabilities, personality and skill levels. Forwards qualified candidates to hiring manager. Coordinates and oversees the interview process including scheduling interviews and pre-employment tests, coordinating reference checks, background checks and drug screening procedures, negotiating employment offers, communicating the offer verbally, and preparing and administering offer letters. Tracks and documents candidates and requisition activity using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Updates both the hiring manager and the candidate throughout the recruiting process in a timely manner. Promotes BFS at a variety of recruitment functions, such as job fairs and college/university fairs.  Recruits qualified candidates at these events. Other duties may be assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; Two (2) years recruiting experience;  Or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

COMPETENCIES 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels within the company. Strong interpersonal and networking skills. Ability to work in cooperation with others to effectively coordinate activities to accomplish tasks. Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations PC proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook; comfortable with using applicant tracking systems (ATS) Knowledge of legal and compliance issues
