The Role
Veeva Vault Safety is a modern individual case safety report (ICSR) management system that supports intake, processing, and submission of adverse events for clinical and post-marketed products.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Release Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role you will work with a team of release managers/quality analysts for Veeva, Vault (Safety). You will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of software releases, ensuring the smooth deployment of products and services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong technical background, people management skills, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.What You'll DoCollaborate with software development, quality assurance, and operations teams to plan, schedule, and manage software releasesDefine and maintain release processes and methodologies, ensuring continuous improvement and best practicesCoordinate release activities, including version control, feature branching, code merges, and deploymentCommunicate release plans, progress, and status to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiencesManage and mitigate risks related to the release process, including identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing strategies to address themEnsure that all necessary documentation, release notes, and communication materials are prepared and delivered alongside each releaseMonitor and measure the success of releases, gathering feedback and data to drive process improvementsOversee post-release activities, such as issue tracking, bug fixes, and customer supportStay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to recommend and implement innovative release management practicesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)8+ years of experience as a Release Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successful software releases for a SaaS ProductStrong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and WaterfallProficiency with version control systems, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools, and release automation (e.g., Git, Kibana, Jenkins)Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing requirementsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teamsAnalytical mindset with the ability to identify areas for process improvement and optimizationExperience with release management tools and platforms is a plusExperience working cross functionally with geographically dispersed teamsNice to HaveExperience working  in Health sciences and Life care industryExperience with AWS or other cloud platforms, shell or other scripting languageExperience in a product based environmentPerks & BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and basic life insuranceFlexible PTO and company paid holidaysRetirement programs1% charitable giving programCompensationBase pay: $100,000 - $175,000The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role.
