Technical Sales Advisor

We are searching for a Technician Sales Engineer to join our Christchurch team!
In this role, you will provide technical support to customers and the external and internal sales teams, to include product recommendation and selection to customers. Initiate projects based on the customer’s demands where required and follow up with the appropriate contacts/systems depending on the Business Unit.

**Your Challenge:**
+ Provide technical support to customers and the external and internal sales teams, to include product recommendation and selection to customers
+ Respond to day-to-day customers’ technical enquiries as required, in writing and via telephone
+ Understand the deciding factors, leading to the technical approach and assist customer with the product selection
+ Communicate the technical requirements where required. i.e.: technical requirements as part of RFQs to the responsible persons within the CWC-I organization
+ Liaise with the responsible Sales or Product Manager to find the best solution to provide to the customer
+ Provide technical solutions, based on the customer’s needs.
+ Liaise with the engineering and production facilities to ensure feasibility of the technical approach
+ Initiate projects based on the customer’s demands where required and follow up with the appropriate contacts/systems depending on the Business Unit.
+ Provide internal communication between the Technical, Sales and Marketing organisations
+ Prioritize the projects as required by the Sales organization
**What You Bring:**

Curtiss-Wright Industrial Division, which includes the product brands of Arens Controls, Penny & Giles, PG Drives Technology and Williams Controls, is an excellent supplier in providing components and sub-systems which enable customer specific solutions for on- and off-highway vehicles. These include medium- and heavy-duty trucks, buses and motor coaches, construction and agricultural vehicles, materials handling, and other specialty vehicles, as well as sophisticated wheelchairs and scooters for medical mobility.
We develop and manufacture electronic throttle controls, transmission shifters and sensors for commercial off-highway equipment and heavy trucks, helping to address the long-term trend towards attaining higher fuel efficiency and lower emissions.
