About the Role
 

As a Technical Sales Consultant at SciBite, you will demonstrate solution value pre-sales and provide post-sales technical support. Your main responsibilities include building and maintaining customer relationships, delivering product demonstrations, and identifying new use cases to drive sales.
 

Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining deep knowledge of SciBite technologies and industry trends to support customer needsConducting detailed product demonstrations and technical discussions to showcase SciBite's capabilities and value and understand customer requirementsProviding proactive technical support to licensed customers, including creating technical documentation and resourcesActing as a trusted advisor for customers, maintaining ongoing relationships and ensuring their satisfaction, including responding to any technical concernsWorking closely with the sales team to drive new business development opportunitiesAttending meetings as a technical expert, capturing customer use-cases and project requirementsCollaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth post-sales processesSupporting the product team in qualifying and prioritizing customer feedback for product feature development


Requirements

Have the ability to quickly become an expert in SciBite solutionsBe able to articulate the value of SciBite solutions during technical demosPossess working knowledge of Generative AI, NLP, ontologies, and knowledge graphs. AWS, Docker and programming languages like Python would be preferred.Demonstrate excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiencesHave experience leading difficult conversations with diverse audiencesBe capable of performing requirement analysis and mapping requirements to deliverablesPreferred experience working with Pharma companiesBe open to travel to customer sites and conferences

An ideal candidate for the Technical Sales Consultant role will possess a blend of technical expertise, customer-facing skills, and domain knowledge. Here's what we're looking for:

Technical knowledge: SciBite’s solutions focus on ontology management, data FAIRification, and AI-powered search engines, which are either deployed at customer sites or on Elsevier’s SaaS platform. Familiarity with these technologies is essential.Customer-facing skills: Although the role is technically demanding, it primarily involves interacting with customers. Strong communication and presentation skills are crucial for success.Domain knowledge: SciBite's primary customer base includes the top 20 pharmaceutical companies. A good understanding of the pharmaceutical and life sciences business is desirable.
