We're seeking a Technical Sales Manager based in Alberta to join our client in the natural gas odorization industry. Our client provides odorization services to natural gas utilities and industrial partners across Canada and North America.
The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for leading our sales efforts, building relationships with existing and new clients, and expanding our market presence. This role will involve extensive travel within Canada and may require occasional travel to the U.S.
Responsibilities: Build and strengthen relationships with existing clients (natural gas utilities, industrial partners) and develop new business relationships. Lead the sales process for odorization services, including prospecting, quoting, and contract negotiations. Participate in trade shows and natural gas conferences to expand the company's market presence. Build out the company's CRM system and refine the sales process. Ensure compliance with all relevant Canadian regulations and safety standards. Provide regular sales reports and documentation, including timely and accurate expense reports, work orders, and client records.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in technical sales, ideally within the natural gas industry or a related field. Proven experience in outside sales and the ability to travel frequently within Canada, with occasional trips to the U.S. Strong understanding of technical products and sales processes, particularly in fluid pressure and flow, is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients and internal teams. Resourceful, motivated self-starter capable of working independently and meeting deadlines.
Compensation and Benefits: The discussed salary range is 120,000 negotiable depending on experience. Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered.
