Technical Sales Representative

The Technical Sales Representative (TSR) position is a critical team member of our Commercial Coatings Sales team. This sales position is remote based and will be responsible for markets in and around the North Texas Markets including Fort Worth and Dallas.


Summary
This exciting position will work to strengthen our presence in the Commercial Roof Coatings industry by identifying opportunities, generating leads, deepening the customer
network, teaching and demonstrating products. The ideal candidate must maintain contractor targets and project lists to ensure proper balance and alignment with the opportunities to support the Liquid Applied Systems sales strategy within their territory. This role will be accountable for influencing the key decision makers in the commercial construction process to increase sales opportunities for GAF and its customer base.


Essential Duties
● Influence key decision makers in the commercial construction process including: architects, Landscape Architects, Owners, State, County and City Departments, Engineers, Builders, General Contractors, Developers and Sub Contractors
● Manage, track and distribute significant projects to increase sales opportunities for our customer base throughout a multi-month or multi-year sales cycle.
● Build relationships with the current Preferred Contractor base. Identify gaps in the market and identify target contractors for conversion.
● Own the success of our customers. Work closely with the local Preferred Contractor to pull regional project opportunities and new specifications through the customer base.
● Voice of the customer: Identify externally and communicate internally essential technologies product line presentations, and continuing education presentations, with the objective to have Liquid Applied products specified and installed

● Accountable for utilizing commercial construction data base (Dodge), industry events and GAF website for lead generation. Also, utilize CRM (Salesforce) and current marketing tools (AIA presentations, literature, samples, etc.) to support selling efforts.
● Industry involvement: Actively participates, where appropriate, in associations and attend trade events, such as AIA and ASLA to support education and events throughout the architectural community.


Under This Roof, We Require
● HS Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of demonstrated commercial sales experience in a building materials environment.
● Specification Sales experience of 5+ years

● Valid driver’s license is required.

● Liquid Applied or Commercial Roofing experience is ideal and/or experience selling through architects and property management companies.

● Industry experience and insights related to commercial construction, building
materials, hardscapes and liquid applied systems is a must
● Advanced communication and organizational capabilities required
● Strong presentation and public speaking skills required

Consideration will be given based on geography, candidate experience, and qualifications.

Annual Salary Range: 67,500-86,250
