Our client a leading Information Services company in the energy sector, providing clients with data, software, analytics, news and insights to make critical decisions that drive growth, efficiency, and minimize risk is looking for a Technical Sales Specialist based in Calgary.
As a Technical Sales Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the energy industry.
Technical Sales Specialist Responsibilities: Prospecting and Client Outreach: Initiate outbound B2B sales efforts to identify new prospects and clients. Sales Execution: Actively participate in the sales process, from prospecting to closing deals. Product Demonstrations: Deliver compelling product demonstrations to showcase our cloud-based solutions. Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with clients and provide exceptional customer support. Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and product advancements. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales Manager, Account Managers, Technical Advisory Group, and Marketing team to achieve sales objectives.
Qualifications 1-2+ years of sales experience in the energy or oil & gas industry Experience with SaaS Engineering degree, technical diploma in Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent industry experience Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry and or data solutions Proven track record of successfully managing sales opportunities Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
Compensation and Benefits The discussed base salary is $90,000 depending on experience, plus KPI bonus and commission. OTE in first year $150,000 and second year $200,000 Comprehensive benefits package
