Technical Scrum Lead

Core Responsibilities

1. Leads, builds, and coaches high performing teams in the delivery of technology-related products or projects, ensuring team actions are aligned with project and business goals.  May instruct or coach other professionals.

2. Leads planning, team learning, and adaptation of processes to ensure the quality of team solutions.

3. Enables a continuous learning environment, identifying ways to strengthen the team's understanding of Agile/Scrum concepts and principles as they relate to technical capabilities.

4. Builds and applies methodology that supports the integration of changing customer inputs and business conditions into technology-related product development.

5. Recommends to the product owner and management in the definition and prioritization of technology-related outcomes. Identifies trade-offs between short and long term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and product owner.

6. Ensures the application of agile frameworks to the development process to increase effectiveness of technology-related product development or architecture.

7. Leads daily scrum meetings, iteration reviews, and maintains backlogs.

8. Removes roadblocks to technology-related product development or architecture. Applies learnings to other development projects.

9. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

10. End to end design, development, and support of TCA data infrastructure product.

11. Build a resilient, modular, and scalable data infrastructure product that will span regions and assets.

12. Partner with quant researchers, product owner, and consultant (?) to gather requirements.

13. Support a team of senior developers and data engineers.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Computer Science or Engineering experience preferred. Graduate degree preferred.Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years of leading large cross-functional teams on  major organizational technology projects preferred. Financial Services and technical experience preferred.Scrum/Agile Certification strongly preferred.

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with strong technical knowledge in Python.

Previous experience in developing TCA data products.

Prior experience working with OneTick/KDB.

Strong understanding of TCA concepts and market data structure.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set goals, and meet deadlines.

Prior experience working with quant researchers is preferable.

Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods

Strong communication skills with a demonstrable ability to present & grasp complex concepts in a multicultural environment.  

Proficiency in Python programming

Strong expertise in SQL, Presto, HIVE, and Spark

Experience with Python libraries for data manipulation and analysis, such as Pandas, Polars and NumPy

Extensive experience with key AWS services/components including EMR, Lambda, Glue ETL, Step Functions, S3, ECS, Kinesis, IAM, RDS PostgreSQL, Dynamodb, Timeseries database, CloudWatch Events/Event Bridge, Athena, SNS, SQS, and VPC

Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing

Experience with OneTick/KDB

Good understanding of source control, unit testing, test-driven development, and CI/CD

Knowledge of data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift

Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases

Skills in designing and implementing data models, including normalization, denormalization, and schema design

Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot data issues

Knowledge of trading and investment data  

Proficiency in data visualization tools and ability to create visual representations of data, particularly using Tableau is a plus
