As a Technical Service Engineer, you will be responsible to represent Service Solutions in product issue resolution. In this position, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify the root causes of product issues and deliver actionable corrective solutions to both International Motors field teams and customers. You’ll work closely with our dealer network to understand vehicle issues in the field and partner with engineering to develop solutions for trucks—both pre-production and post-production—ensuring our customers experience maximum uptime.
Your focus will be on Heavy Duty Vehicle Powertrains, including diesel engines, transmissions, engine electrical systems, and other key powertrain subsystems.
Responsibilities Extensive Powertrain Diagnostics, Repair, Issue Tracking, and EscalationResearch, develop and implement service repair plans for vehicles in the fieldAssist and support the launch of vehicles that provide value to our customers reducing warranty and increasing vehicle uptime.Present and report status to upper-level management of activities and issuesWrite technical reports and develop base line diagnostics as necessaryLiaison between Aftersales Organization and other teams within International MotorsActively involved in Project Management activitiesManages or review dashboards and scorecards for daily visibility around group metrics and customer needsDevelop and demonstrate competencies with Problem Solving Strategies and Tools Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degreeAt least 5 years of technical service engineering, automotive service or truck service experience
