The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Service Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing field service, planned maintenance activities, hardware and software upgrades, and providing first-line support. You will also assist with installations and deinstallations, ensuring our customers receive top-notch service.
The position is field based, located in West Coast (Haugesund, Bergen, Stavanger area). Work is performed at our customer sites, mainly hospital laboratories. Although the main area of work will be located on the West Coast of Norway, frequent traveling when needed across whole of Norway and the Nordics, must also be expected.
The role requires you to be self-driven and dedicated to keep instruments running and customers satisfied.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and perform planned maintenance (PM) activities.Troubleshoot technical problems and perform hardware and software upgrades.Assist with instrument installations and deinstallations.Provide phone support to customers and first-line service to Abbott Ambassadors.Identify customer needs, propose solutions, and resolve problems.Provide service reports and documentation to the customer after service.Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and accountability.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. A degree in medical, electrical, mechanical, or medical technology is preferred.Experience in establishing a “Best in Class” Customer Support with a focus on continuous improvement and KPIs.Strong analytical, technical, and innovative skills.Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.Results-oriented with a strong attention to detail and quality.Ability to assimilate technical information and drive resolution of issues.Proficiency in using analytical tools and software.Key Competencies:
