Brief Description: Technical Services Representative for Rail

Responsibilities

Job Duties/Responsibilities: 

Maintain a safe work environment and help maintain the safety of the team.Customer facing metallurgist and liaison between operations, R&D and railroad customer base.Support the Rail Sales and Operations team on quality claim investigationsAnalyze process and product data to improve safety, quality, and productivity.Actively lead development of new structural and rail grades.Design and manage trials for product and process improvements. Participate in ongoing education by attending technical conferences and training sessionsAttend industry technical committees related to the Division’s products and contribute expertise in line with the company's goals.Potential for International travel – ability to acquire travel pass / VISA. Qualifications

Experience/Requirements:

 

Required:

Proven leadership skills, self-motivated, attention to detail, presenta-tion, communication, and decision- making skills.Outstanding communicator, written and oral.Ability to Travel.

 

Preferred

Basic understanding of steel metallurgy and development of physical properties of various steel grades and products produced at the Division.Bachelor’s degree. Technical sales experience in the steel industry for 3+ years
