CGI is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and driven Director Consulting Expert / Solution Architect to develop and deliver effective solutions for our government clients, and further our mission for strengthening the communities we call home. Our ideal candidate should possess state and local government domain experience, specifically in the field of IT and related delivery capabilities. This role is located in Austin, Texas and should be performed from the CGI Austin office (in Rollingwood) or on client site at least 3 days per week. A hybrid model is acceptable. **Your future duties and responsibilities:** • Oversee all aspects of technical solution design for active client engagements to bring practical, modern and innovative solutions to our Texas Public Sector clients • Advise and oversee technical project teams to drive quality technical solutions and project execution • Author and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concept applications to help current and prospective clients envision how technology can further their missions • Assist in the evaluation and qualification of Public Sector procurement solicitations against CGI capabilities, differentiators, and ability to execute • Participate in the proposal process to shape the CGI story and draw out the benefits and differentiators of our technical approach • Perform custom solution prototyping for evaluation of fit gap analysis and support sales pursuits • Build relationships and collaborate with CGI’s technology vendor partners to bring technology thought leadership and expertise for our current and prospective clients • Coordinate with technology vendor partners to align our technical approach with technical best practices, compile technical proposal content, and engineer technical solution pricing in-line with client needs • Author and review proposal content to ensure final proposal addresses the client’s needs and clearly articulates the benefits of our technical approach • Maintain technical knowledge and thought leadership through continuous learning as technology continues to evolve • Coach and mentor up-and-coming technology practitioners and leaders **Required qualifications to be successful in this role:** • Strong industry experience in the Public Sector as a consultant • Track record of developing and delivering solution architecture services as part of large technology modernization programs • Knowledge of traditional (ex: custom development, low-code development platforms) and emerging enterprise technologies (ex: AI, RPA, cloud platforms, data warehousing/engineering technologies) • Ability to translate technical features, functions, and capabilities to business value • Ability to manage technical scope • Experience with project management and implementations • A motivated self-starter that is able to work independently, in teams and projects with limited supervision • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; ability to communicate and engage at all stakeholder levels (e.g., executives, project leadership, project teams) • Customer-service oriented • Ability to succeed in a hybrid role – all candidates should plan to work from the CGI Austin office (in Rollingwood) or on client site at least 3 days per week Desired qualifications • Experience working in a globally dispersed team • Public speaking experience at technical conferences • Business development experience • Technical certifications (AWS, Salesforce, etc.) “CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $158,900 - $278,000.
