Job Title: Technical Specialist, Hardware Design Validation and Test Engineer
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Technical Specialist, Hardware Design Validation and Test Engineer. This position requires an experienced professional to work directly with Infotainment Test & Validation team to accomplish Design Verification Plan (DVP) on time. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. The Role:
Responsible for developing test plan, component level test, design validation testing (DVT) and setting up, testing and reporting all the results to the infotainment and controls teams.Qualifications:
At least 7 years of experience in HW testing (Automotive is a plus) Collaborate with HW Design Engineers to develop and execute hardware verification test plans Design, build and program test systems used in HW testing as well generate automated reports tracking test results Experience with project management tools (ie Confluence, JIRA) and document management systems (ie Qualtrax) Familiarity with Design Validation Test (DVT) phases including functional, performance, reliability and environmental tests Hands on experience in operating and automating test systems like environmental chambers, vibration tables, EMC/EMI equipment Contribute with design team to resolve problems and develop corrective action Analyzes test results and test data to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications Research advanced measurement techniques Knowledge and experience working with, Gigabit Ethernet, FPD link, CAN, SPI, I2C, LIN, RS232, A2B, GMSL, BT and wifiAdvantageous:
Extensive experience in testing of Digital and Analog/Mixed signal circuits Experience with LV124 automotive test standards and execution Experience using RTStand LV124, vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, DAQ Ability to generate tests cases to validate product requirements Experience designing and analyzing test procedures to minimize measurement error Knowledge of industrial controls systems and their communications interfaces and protocols such as Ethernet/IP Proficiency with measurement automation tools and scripting languages such as, Python, Labview, and Matlab. Experience testing and validating Functional Safety Products EMC/EMI is a plusEducation Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field is required. Master's degree or higher education is preferred.
