TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

Responsibilities You will serve as the Shore Modernization Lead within the Undersea Communications and Integration Program Office (PMW 770). You will be responsible for working with and overseeing PEO C4I Programs of Record (PORs) installed at submarine shore facilities. You will demonstrate experience with executing installations in accordance with Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH) and Fleet Readiness Certification Board (FRCB) Handbook You will support integration reviews and approvals such as Platform Readiness Review (PRRs), Platform Technical Review Boards (PTRB) and approvals specific to the installation of NC3 designated systems. You will be responsible for managing cost, schedule, and performance of technically complex Command, Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence (C4I) system of systems. You will ensure delivery of C4I systems to designated test facilities and shipyards within budget and on schedule. You will be well versed in the acquisition processes and policies. You will have a thorough knowledge of the new ship constructions process. You will have frequent interaction with senior civilian and military personnel. You will provide assistance to the Program Manager (PM) in briefs. You will lead, integrate, and coordinate functional groups. You will plan, evaluate, and continually monitor program integration efforts. You will incorporate industry and government best practices to enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness. You will ensure the program(s) integration and acquisition strategy; program of record and execution meet user capability requirements and are executable with acceptable risk. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or DP-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience working with Programs of Record (PORs) installed at submarine shore facilities. Candidate must also have experience with executing installations in accordance with Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH) and Fleet Readiness Certification Board (FRCB) Handbook, the processes that support integration reviews and approvals such as Platform Readiness Review (PRRs), Platform Technical Review Boards (PTRB) and approvals specific to the installation of NC3 designated systems. The pay schedule and pay band for all Demonstration Project Professional Positions will be DP-1/2/3/4. "If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $142,254 - $170,704 (Base $106,382-$127,658 plus 33.72% locality adjustment)." This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
