Job DescriptionEvaluates new tests and performs development projects according to plans and guidelines provided by the Clinical Director and/or Laboratory Supervisor.Coordinates and oversees development projects, such as new assays and procedures, in the department. Communicates scientific information and progress to the laboratory supervisor and director.Under the direction and consultation with the appropriate Pathology management, delegates responsibilities on development projects to appropriate technologists.Performs job responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with the customer service vision of the University of Maryland Medical System, including demonstration of appropriate behavior towards patients, visitors, staff, peers and physiciansProvides technical advice and directions, and serves as the resource person for laboratory staff involved in a development project.Company Description

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Basic Sciences, or other related field is required.Five years of relevant experience is required. Specialty certification in area of expertise or masters degree preferred.A combination of post-graduate education and fewer than the required years of experience may be considered.Additional Information
