The Technical Specialist will be a member of the specific devices team reporting to a Technical Team Manager, and working as a colleague with other members of the Medical Devices Business Stream.

There is interface at all levels of management in client and regulatory organisations.

The position can be based globally from home.

Some global travel is expected to perform technical assessments and to attend relevant meetings and training.

Purpose of the position

Plan and deliver Technical File/ Documentation Assessments of medical devices in support of EC CertificationAct as technical support to the commercial team when requiredProvide in-house and external training in areas of expertise when required

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Deliver Medical Device CE Technical File/ Documentation Assessment services from home office and on-site as a fully integrated member of the Devices TeamSupport the Commercial Team as it grows the customer base worldwideDeliver all services within required timescales and to a high qualityMaintain client satisfaction whilst continuing to meet BSI’s ethical expectations and all regulatory requirementsMaintain and expand competence in areas of technical expertise and Medical Devices certification
