Summary:
As a Technical Specialist, Severe Service, Americas, you will provide technical product and application support for regional sales teams, driving growth for the FCD severe service product portfolio, including:
Argus ball valves, metal seated floating & trunnion ball valves
Valtek severe service control valves
Durco severe service plug valves and high-performance butterfly valves
Other Flowserve valve product as required
Limitorque electric and pneumatic actuation
You will increase awareness and acceptance of Flowserve severe service products by engaging with key customer contacts in management, procurement, engineering, and operations.
You will build relationships with technology licensors and provide market intelligence on severe service applications and products. This will entail collaboration with internal and external sales partners to promote application / solution-based selling.
Responsibilities:
Support new product introductions and drive product and application awareness.
Assist sales teams with account strategies for key clients and provide market intelligence for commercial support.
Coordinate with engineering resources and collaborate on engineered-to-order (ETO) design solutions.
Develop product diversification strategies and align with customer expectations through collaboration with global product leadership.
Ensure successful outcomes with end users and project sales teams, and build strong customer relationships through close collaboration with sales.
Assist in the resolution of commercial and technical issues to exceed customer expectations.
Work with level 2 field engineering to solve plant-level problems.
Update account plans and opportunities in the CRM system (FlowForce).
Identify and escalate potential issues that may impact customer relationships or business opportunities.
Requirements:
BS or BA in Engineering or Business Administration with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
Broad knowledge and technical expertise in the refinery, petrochemical industry, severe service applications
Technical product knowledge of isolation valves and flow control valves.
Dynamic and creative self-starter with strong organization, planning, collaboration, analytical problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills to drive growth.
Ability to provide a positive customer-centric experience.
Capability to work across all business groups and levels within Flowserve.
Proficient in creating spreadsheets and presentations using common software.
Broad knowledge of industry standards related to the Flowserve product portfolio.
Willingness to travel up to 50% within the USA and Canada.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Project management experience is a plus.
