This position provides computer technical support to the State Corporation Commission.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:• Maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals• Documenting, maintaining, upgrading, and replacing desktop hardware and software systems• Supporting and maintaining user account information, including rights, security, and systems groups• Providing hands-on and telephone support of personal computers and laptops• Locating, reading, comprehending, and following instructions in online technical service manuals, knowledgebases, and publications• Diagnosing and solving PC software and hardware issues, including issues with malware• Prioritizing and scheduling own workload• Providing accurate and helpful answers, both written and verbal, to end users in a professional, courteous, andtimely manner• Installing and configuring software, such as operating systems, configuration management tools, application anddevelopment tools, testing tools, compilers, and code editors• Managing and reporting time spent on all work activities
