This 80-year-old company is a global leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of material handling equipment and other related technologies. We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide expert-level technical assistance and service to our customers seeking information and support.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tRespond to technical support inquiries, provide technical assistance with our forklift attachments over the phone.\r\n\tAssist various dealers with product related troubleshooting questions.\r\n\tDiagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic malfunctions and assist with the required solutions.\r\n\tAssess issues objectively and make rational decisions concerning products, quality, and customer relations. Prioritize customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies and procedures.\r\n\tParticipate in team functions and contribute technical opinions/expertise where required.\r\n\tRecommend process improvements to increase job efficiency and accuracy.\r\n\tAbility to travel where required on a scheduled and non-scheduled basis.\r\n\tOccasional evening and weekend work might be necessary.\r\n\tPerform other duties as directed.\r\n\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred\r\n\tMinimum of 4 years of experience in technical support, troubleshooting, or field service within a technical industry.\r\n\tMinimum of 3 years of experience working with hydraulic or mechanical systems.\r\n\tAbility to read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic and electrical schematics.\r\n\tMust be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems/issues over the phone and seek additional information necessary to resolve issues.\r\n\tSolid understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, or electronic systems.\r\n\tStrong mechanical & electrical aptitude.\r\n\tStrong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication (verbal and written) skills.\r\n\tSelf-motivator.\r\n\tExcellent communication skills.\r\n\tBasic computer skills, including Windows and MS Office.\r\n\tAbility to work with basic hand tools.\r\n\tAbility to effectively address customer inquiries and concerns in face-to-face interactions.\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to actively participate and contribute to a collaborative team environment.\r\n\tAbility to drive a lift truck desired-if needed.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Salary: $75,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year

\r\n\r\n

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
