Technical Support Engineer - Machinery Health Manager

Job Summary

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

Providing technical support, consultation, and remote diagnostics on Emerson Reliability Solutions products/systems, including AMS Machinery Manager, AMS Machine Works, Online Monitoring, Wireless HART Transmitters, Portables, etc for end-user customers and engineering organizations in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa, North America, and Latin America. This involves troubleshooting, problem analysis and solutions generation to hardware, software, installation, configuration, integration, and application issues and inquiries. Maintains ownership of all received customer problems, provides timely updates, and sets the appropriate escalation priority. Successfully working to identify workarounds, reduce product problem resolution time, and support efforts to develop training and troubleshooting resources (e.g. procedures, diagnostics, and documentation) Collaborating with Local Business Partners and Field Service Organizations worldwide, Technology, Marketing, and Manufacturing to resolve product problems and plot product design directions at a local and global level

For this role, you will need:

BS/MS in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Instrumentation, or other Engineering Degrees; or other technical degrees with appropriate experience Preferably with at least two (2) years of experience in preventive or predictive maintenance, process control, or process engineering in at least one target industry: hydrocarbon processing, oil and gas (onshore/offshore), pulp and paper, specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, power generation. Experience with networking (Ethernet), MS Operating Systems Ability to troubleshoot systems and to present clear and concise information to the team, internal customers, and external customers Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment Flexibility to work on shifting schedule New graduates with outstanding academic achievements will be considered.

  

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Excellent spoken and written English; knowledge of another foreign language (ex. Spanish) is an advantage Preferably with knowledge and experience in Emerson Reliability Services system and equipment (AMS Suite: MHM, CSI technologies, handheld devices), GE Bently Nevada, SKF, or other related brands used for condition monitoring and diagnostics.
