Introduction
We are seeking a Technical Support for the Grinding, Bulk, and Pyro (GBP) to join our team. You will be responsible for providing technical knowledge for internal and external customer technical support requests, including technical assistance to the Customer Service Representative. In this position, you will report to Senior Manager, Sales Support USA Services.
This position is mainly located in York, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. This position will require around 20% - 25% travel globally.
What You’ll Do:
Technical Support: Assist the Market Area Account Manager, Technical Sales Support, and Customer Service Representative team through Salesforce, providing drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation. Documentation Input: Contribute to technical documentation, including manuals and service workbooks. Systematic Case Handling: Ensure efficient case handling through our workflow ticketing system, adhering to agreed response and resolution times. Quotation Development: Support MTO, CTO, and ETO quotation development through solution definition and technical research. Expert Troubleshooting: Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting, process knowledge, operation, and maintenance for equipment. Warranty and Complaints: Participate in warranty claims and handle customer complaints effectively. Field Support: Assist installation and Field Service teams. Training: Act as a trainer for internal courses, sharing your knowledge and expertise. R&D Support: Collaborate with R&D and product development teams. Inspection Reviews: Support inspection report reviews and provide recommendations. CRM Maintenance: Validate and maintain the CRM with equipment operational information.
Who You Are:
Educational Background: Engineering degree or relevant technical experience in the Grinding, Bulk, and Pyro area. Experienced Professional: Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience, including interpreting customer specifications and customer relations. Customer Service Champion: Proven capabilities in customer service and satisfaction. Evaluator: Capable of assessing customer needs, including occasional plant visits. Problem Solver: Willing to actively engage in problem-solving opportunities. Tech-Savvy: High level of computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and SAP. Motivated and Determined: Highly motivated individual with the ability to work in a time-sensitive setting and meet deadlines. Mechanical Aptitude: Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
