Technical support manager

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Support Manager to lead our Technical Product Support and Technical Service Desk functions in Camarillo, California. You will work in cooperation with various key stakeholders such as Sales, Product Safety, Product Management, Parts & Services, Project Management, Engineering, Production, Sourcing, and Supply. Join us in creating robust, efficient, and tailored solutions for the challenging environments of mining applications.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure that the team operates effectively and efficiently and that the selected KPI’s are met.

- Drive team performance through effective and regular performance management and coaching.

- Manage, develop and support the team to implement and support relevant strategical plans.

- Monitor feedback and safety cases and drive the resolution of product-related issues to completion.

- Organize the commissioning of equipment in the field (new and existing products).

- Provide feedback on quality and on conformance with customer requirements from commissioning to improve both products and process (e.g., manufacturing).

- Operate the internal help desks to answer queries from product masters/product specialists on technical and parts issues.

- Define and execute field trainings for trainers, product masters, and customers in cooperation with our training manager.

- Manage deployment of service engineers for field test and to resolve customer issues.

- Identify trends, root cause analysis to improve reliability; provide inputs to R&D Engineering on serviceability and maintainability.

- Provide content for service publication.

EDUCATION

- Suitable educational background in Engineering or Science (B.E., B.Sc. or M.Sc.).

EXPERIENCE

- Experience with underground load and haul equipment would be advantageous.

- A minimum of five years’ experience in technical support or engineering.

- Experience in a mining environment would be regarded as a merit.

- Strong people management, communication, presentation, and analytical skills.

- Sound understanding of mining or heavy industry risk management and safety requirements.

- Ability to easily manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, as well as make effective judgments as to prioritization and time allocation.

- Fluent English language skills and PC literate.

PAY RANGE:  $135,000 - $165,000
